The view down to Chamonix from the highest point that visitors to the summit of Aiguille du Midi can reach. The difference in altitude is 2806 metres (9290 feet). The cablecar that takes you to the summit is one of the most spectacular in the world with the second section to the summit an unsupported single span gaining 1500 metres.

New Spanish Walks
Recently added are some new walks in Spain. These all concentrate on Andalucia and were all completed during the winter months so are relevant for all of you heading south in the coming months.

New walks in France
These new additions reflect my summer walking. There are some routes from the Vanoise National Park near the Italian border plus some walks in the Vercors limestone country south of Grenoble.
