Pan 007 - The southern end of the 'Desfiladero de los Gaitanes' gorge at El Chorro. This view was taken from the west side of the river. Scale is provided by the railway bridge on the right hand side of the frame. The concrete walkway cantilvered from the rock face allowed visitors to see the full length of the gorge. Starting on the east side at El Chorro the walkway crossed the gorge on a concrete bridge (just visible) before continuing north on the west side of the river. The gorge becomes less streeply sided for a section before ending in similar sheer sides at the northen end.
