Col De Balme at the head of Arve Valley

Col De Balme is a well known point on the Tour du Mont Blanc at the head of Arve Valley. The Swiss - French frontier follows the watershed across the col and is indicated by boundary stones. This view looks northwest into Switzerland with the Croix de Fer the dominant summit towards the left of centre.
